House Music & Me

As a DJ, my journey began with a simple goal—finding the perfect soundtrack for long-distance running. With a background in software & network engineering, I found a natural connection to house music. It’s rhythm and structure allow me to think, focus, meditate, and most importantly—keep moving.

Running long distances, particularly pushing beyond the 20K mark, is a crucible for both body and mind. As blisters form and knees ache, the physical body begs yourself to stop, but the will remains locked on the objective. It is in this space of struggle that music transcends mere sound and becomes essential momentum—fuel for the mind to override the weakness of the flesh.

“I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified.”
— 1 Corinthians 9:27

However, I refuse to expose my mind to vulgarity or degenerated lyrics. I guard my subconscious from corruption, but above all, I honor God. It is my profound responsibility to ensure that the ideas and words inhabiting my mind are of good nature, for the quality of our thoughts ultimately shapes the quality of our soul.

“Such as are your habitual thoughts, such also will be the character of your mind; for the soul is dyed by the thoughts.”
— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations 5.16

House music is my fuel. It’s a genre that unites all others—deep house, tech house, jazz, classic rock, bossa nova, hip hop, blues, and even classical music—all blended into a beat that runs with you. Whether you’re pounding the pavement, winding through forest trails, or pushing through the wild unknown, house music lifts your spirit and drives you forward. For me, it’s not just music—it’s movement, endurance, and a celebration of how far the body and mind can go.
